Terms of hire
The terms that apply to every Party247 booking. Last updated 29 October 2026.
These terms apply to every booking with Party247. Please read them before you book. By paying a deposit you confirm that you accept them. If anything is unclear, call us on 0151 515 0191 or email info@party247.co.uk before you book.
1. About us
Party247 is based at 25 Thingwall Avenue, Liverpool L14 5PB. In these terms, “we” and “us” means Party247 and “you” means the person or organisation making the booking.
2. Quotes and bookings
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless we say otherwise, and are subject to availability until your booking is confirmed.
- Your booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit and sent you a written confirmation by email.
- Please check your confirmation carefully. It sets out the date, venue, timings, equipment and price you have booked. Let us know straight away if anything is wrong.
3. Deposits and payment
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The amount is shown on your quote.
- The remaining balance is due before your event, by the date shown on your booking confirmation. Late bookings may need to be paid in full when booking.
- If the balance is not paid on time, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you.
4. Changes and cancellations
If you need to change your booking
We will always try to help with changes to your date, timings or equipment. Changes depend on availability and may change the price. If we cannot move your date, the cancellation terms below apply.
If you cancel
- Your deposit is non-refundable, because we turn away other bookings for your date.
- If you cancel close to your event, the full balance may still be payable, as set out in your booking confirmation.
- Please tell us in writing by email if you need to cancel.
If we have to cancel
This is very rare. If we have to cancel, we will try to offer an alternative. If that is not suitable, we will refund everything you have paid us in full.
5. Delivery, set-up and collection
- We will agree arrival, set-up and collection times with you before the event. Please allow us access to the venue in good time to set up before guests arrive.
- Please tell us in advance about stairs, lifts, narrow access, long walks from parking or venue restrictions, as these can affect timings and the equipment we can bring.
- Any parking charges, congestion or clean air zone charges, or venue access fees are payable by you unless agreed otherwise.
- If we cannot access the venue at the agreed time, or our set-up is delayed for reasons outside our control, we cannot extend the hire beyond the agreed finish time without agreement.
6. Venue requirements
- Most of our equipment needs a standard 13 amp power socket close to where it is set up. We will confirm what each item needs when you book.
- Equipment must be set up on a flat, level, dry surface with enough space. We will tell you the space needed for each item.
- Electrical equipment is for indoor use or under cover only. We may refuse to set up outdoors if the weather makes it unsafe.
- It is your responsibility to check that your venue allows the equipment you have booked, including indoor fireworks, LED dance floors and food stations.
7. Staffed and dry hire
Staffed hire includes an attendant for the agreed hours. With dry hire, we deliver and set up, and you are responsible for the equipment until we collect it. We will show you how everything works.
8. Looking after the equipment
- Please do not move equipment once it is set up, and keep food and drinks away from electrical items.
- Children must be supervised by an adult when using any equipment.
- You are responsible for loss or damage to equipment caused by you or your guests, other than normal wear and tear. We will charge the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
9. Safety
- Our electrical equipment is PAT tested and we hold public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request for your venue.
- Our staff may stop using any equipment if they believe it is being used unsafely, or if they are treated with abuse or aggression. No refund is due in these cases.
10. Food, sweets and allergens
Our sweets, treats and food stations may contain or come into contact with allergens, including nuts, gluten, milk and egg. Please tell us about any allergies when you book and ask us for allergen information. We cannot guarantee any item is free from allergens.
11. Mobile bars and alcohol
- Where alcohol is sold, the venue must hold the right licence or a Temporary Event Notice must be in place. We will advise you on this when you book.
- We operate Challenge 25. Our bar staff may refuse to serve anyone who cannot show valid ID or who appears intoxicated.
12. Photos and recordings
Photos, videos and messages from our booths are delivered to you through prints, an online gallery or digital files. We may use event photos for our own marketing only where we have permission. How we handle these images is explained in our privacy policy.
13. Our liability
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost profits or opportunities.
- Our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the price you paid for that booking.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
14. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown or illness. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and do what we can to minimise the impact, including offering an alternative date or a refund of payments for services not provided.
15. Complaints
If something is not right, please tell our team on the day so we can try to fix it there and then. If you are still unhappy, email info@party247.co.uk within 7 days of your event and we will respond within 14 days.
16. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
